The Nagpur Sharirik Shikshan Mahavidyalaya is run by Krida Mandal, Nagpur, a premier institution working in the field of Physical Education, Sports and Recreation since 1934. It is no exaggeration to say that Krida Mandal is, to a great extent responsible for the promotion of Indian games and physical culture in this area. It is also mainly instrumental in introducing Indian games in the university sports.

Realising the need for trained leaders in the field of Physical Education, Sports, Health Education and Recreation the Krida Mandal started Nagpur Sharirik Shikshan Mahavidyalaya in 1971 with the permission of the State Government of Maharashtra to conduct B.P.E. (Three year) degree course and the very next year the Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed.) was started. Later on in 1980-81 D.P. Ed. was converted into B.P.Ed. (Two year) course. In the year 1979-80 the college started Post Graduate course in Physical Education i.e. M.P.Ed. (Two year) course.

The college is permanently affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur. Our institution is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

This college is co-educational and admits both boys and girls students from all over Maharashtra State and other parts of the country.

LOCATION OF THE OFFICE : The office of the college is functioning from Dr. Moojne Marg, Opposite Dinanath High School, Dhantoli, Nagpur which is hardly one mile away from the Main Railway Station and State Bus Stand of Nagpur.

LOCATION OF THE COLLEGE CAMPUS : The College Campus known as `Krida Niketan' is spread over in 33 acres of land on Wardha Road, Near Ashokavan, Jamtha, 17 K.M. from Nagpur. The parent body of the college i.e. Krida Mandal has constructed college building which has specious class rooms, laboratories, administrative room, conference hall, library etc. The college has beautiful arena of playfield which fulfil the requirements of training and coaching of students.
The practical and theory classes of all the courses are conducted at our College Campus, the college has bus facility for transportation of college students.

TRAINING FACILITIES : Apart from specious building the college has developed 20 acres of land on which we have layed-out following play fields:- 400 Mts. Track, Two Basket ball Courts, One Hockey Field, Cricket Turf, One Foot ball Field, Two Hand ball Courts, One Table Tennis Hall, Three Volley Ball Courts, Kabaddi Courts, Kho-Kho Courts, One Ball Badminton Court,One Korf Ball Court, One Net Ball Court, Yoga and arena for Gymnaastics with adjoining change rooms and facilities for bath and toilets separate for boys and girls.
The college is having all standard equipments which are necessary for proper training in physical education and sports.

FACULTY : The most important factor in teaching and training is the faculty which imparts instructions to the trainees. The members of the faculty consist of emienent and experienced staff who are experts in their respective subjects and activities. At present 5 of the faculty members have obtained their Ph.D.Degrees.
